Alexithymia

Some autistic people experience alexithymia, which means it is difficult for them to identify, understand, and describe their own emotions. Sometimes, they may also have difficulties showing or feeling emotions that are deemed to be socially appropriate in a certain situation. Overall, alexithymia can make it a bit more difficult for someone to get the help they need when encountering emotional difficulties.
