Executive Functioning
Executive functioning (EF) refers to all the cognitive processes that allow us to regulate, control, and manage our thoughts, actions, and emotions. This includes skills such as organising, planning, remembering, solving problems, inhibiting inappropriate responses, and paying attention. EF is different across all people within the general population. However, these differences can be more pronounced for neurodivergent people. Different strategies may be employed to support executive functioning.
