Who are we?
Children First is Scotland’s national children’s charity. We stand up for every child because all children should have a safe childhood.
We protect children from harm, keep them safe, and support them to recover from trauma and abuse through our national support line and in their homes, schools and communities.
We help children, their families and the people who care for them by offering emotional, practical and financial support.
We believe all children should have hopes, dreams and opportunities. But for many, they don’t exist. This has to stop. We must put children first.
Together we can create a safer, brighter future for all children in Scotland.
What do we do?
Every day, we hear from parents and carers from across Scotland that raising their babies, children, and teenagers is harder than ever.
All stages of growing up bring their unique challenges. We know being a parent can be tough.
Whether you’re concerned about paying family bills, baby milestones, toddler tantrums, social media, bullying, exam stress or mental health, our friendly team can support you.
Our support line offers emotional, practical and financial help.
If you are struggling, feeling overwhelmed, have a feeling that something isn’t quite right or just need to hear a friendly voice, please get in touch.
