Who are we?

KO-NEKT is a social enterprise supporting children, young people and families across Ayrshire. We offer flexible, person-centred support, activities and opportunities that recognise each individual’s age, stage of development, interests and needs.
We provide community, group and college support, alongside sessions at our specially designed Play & Skills Centres in Ardrossan and Ayr.

What do we do?

🌱 KO-NEKT Pathways (ages 5–25)

Our Pathways programme offers a consistent, stepped pathway of support from childhood into young adulthood, enabling children and young people to build confidence, friendships, practical skills and independence at their own pace.

Each stage builds on the last, providing continuity as their needs, abilities and aspirations develop.

🎨 Daily Services & Holiday Support

  • Centre-based group sessions: Building friendships, developing social skills and learning together after school, at weekends and during school and college holidays.
  • Community support: Flexible 1:1 or 2:1 support tailored to young people’s needs within their own communities.
  • College support: Additional support to help young people participate in college life and learning.

🧭 Life Ready Programme (ages 14+)

Life Ready helps young people and young adults develop practical skills for everyday life and greater independence, with opportunities to work towards ASDAN qualifications.

💛 360° Family Connections Project

Our 360° Family Connections Project takes a whole-family approach, recognising that children thrive when the people around them feel supported too. It brings together opportunities for children and support for parents to strengthen relationships, understand behaviour and build confidence, helping families move forward together.

🏘️ Test of Change Project

Working with families in the Hayocks community in Stevenston, this project explores how locally shaped support can improve everyday family life and help reduce barriers to getting involved. Families’ experiences help shape and improve the support offered.

🔗 How does it all connect?

Together, our services provide a connected pathway for children, young people and their families. From age five through to young adulthood, we offer steady support and opportunities to take the next step, while helping parents and families build stronger connections around them.
