Who are we?
The Occupational Therapy service who support Children and Young People living in East Ayrshire
What do we do?
Our service supports children and young people who may find it difficult to do their best in their "occupations," which are all the things they need and want to do on a daily basis, such as:
Getting dressed
Cleaning their teeth
Toileting and washing
Feeding and eating
Participate at nursery/school.
Play and leisure (sports, games, hobbies, and social life)
We work within local communities with children/young people, and their families in a range of settings, including homes, nurseries, schools, and clinics.
We have various information booklets on our website containing daily living strategies to try at home, as well as useful links to other information and services. These resources can be found here: Children and Young People’s Occupational Therapy – NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
We also have a weekly Telephone Advice Line for parents, carers, or staff looking for advice or support, or to discuss a request for assistance to our service.
We are also part of a monthly parent/carers drop-in service, see more details here: East Ayrshire Drop-In for Parents/carers | www.nest.scot/blog
