East Ayrshire Drop-In for Parent/Carers: Service Spotlight 🔦

Parenting a neurodivergent child can be full of questions, especially when it comes to communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs.
That’s why the East Ayrshire Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy teams are offering free monthly virtual drop-in appointments for parents and carers of children with Autism or Social Communication Difficulties.
Who is it for? 👂
This drop-in service is open to parents/carers of children who are not currently on a Speech and Language or Occupational Therapy caseload. It's a great starting point if you’re looking for:
Guidance on how to support your child’s communication
Strategies for emotional regulation
Advice on sensory needs
A space to ask questions and be heard
When does it happen? 📅
Appointments are held on the first Tuesday of every month from 1.30 pm to 4 pm via video call.
How do I book? 💻
To request a slot, simply email your name and your child’s name with “ASD Drop-in” in the subject line to:
You’ll receive an email back with your appointment time and instructions for joining the call.
Please note: this drop-in is only for families who do not already have a named Speech and Language or Occupational Therapist. If your child is already receiving support, please contact your therapist directly.
