New Support Groups for Young Carers with Additional Support Needs in East Ayrshire 🌟⭐

Caring for someone you love can be meaningful, rewarding and sometimes overwhelming - especially when you’re a neurodivergent young person balancing school, friendships and everyday life.

To make things a little easier, East Ayrshire Carers Centre is now offering new support groups and services for Young Carers with Additional Support Needs (ASN). These groups are designed to help young people feel supported, understood and connected.

🤝 Whole Family Support

Every family is unique. These sessions are here to help families create routines, communicate better and build on their strengths.

Support may include:

• Listening to what matters to your family

• Helping identify what’s working well

• Offering simple strategies for daily challenges

• Creating space to learn, grow and feel supported together

Navigating benefits can feel overwhelming.

The Carers Centre team can help families understand:

• What support you may be entitled to

• How to apply

• What documents you’ll need
