Sleep & Autism: A Free Pre‑Recorded Workshop 😴

At NEST, we know that sleep plays a huge role in day‑to‑day wellbeing.

For many autistic people, sleep can be one of the most persistent and misunderstood challenges. And while this workshop focuses on autism, much of what we cover is also relevant to other neurodivergent conditions, including ADHD, dyspraxia, dyslexia, and more.

Difficulties with sleep can affect:

  • Energy levels and mood

  • Emotional regulation

  • Focus and learning

  • Daily routines and independence

These challenges aren’t a sign of laziness or lack of effort - they’re often the result of neurological differences, sensory needs, and the way autistic and otherwise neurodivergent brains process the world.

That’s why we’ve created a free pre‑recorded workshop on Sleep & Autism.

What You’ll Learn

In this session, we’ll explore:

  • How sleep works in autistic and other neurodivergent brains

  • Common sleep challenges, including sensory sensitivities, anxiety, circadian rhythm differences, and nighttime restlessness

  • Practical strategies to support better sleep for children, teens, and adults

  • Tools for families, carers, and professionals to create sleep‑friendly environments

  • Ways to highlight strengths and reduce stress around bedtime routines

Why a Pre‑Recorded Workshop?

We understand that energy levels, routines, and accessibility needs vary widely, especially within the neurodivergent community.

A pre‑recorded format means you can:

  • Watch at your own pace

  • Pause, revisit, and take notes whenever you need

  • Share with family, friends, or colleagues who may benefit

Who Is It For?

This workshop is for anyone impacted by neurodivergence - directly or through supporting someone else.

That includes:

  • Autistic individuals wanting to understand their own sleep patterns

  • Neurodivergent people with overlapping conditions (ADHD, dyspraxia, etc.)

  • Families and carers looking for supportive, realistic strategies

  • Professionals in education, health, or community settings

How to Watch 📺

This workshop is:

  • Completely free

  • Available anytime

  • Split into short, easy‑to‑watch sections

  • Suitable for individuals or teams
