🧠 Celebrating Neurodiversity at Mount Carmel Primary

This week, Celine from the NEST team had the pleasure of attending Parent’s Night at Mount Carmel Primary School—and she was met with something truly special.

Displayed proudly in the school corridors was a beautiful, student-created tribute to neurodiversity, bursting with colour, creativity, and powerful messages of inclusion. From thoughtful quotes to brain-themed artwork, the display shared the voices of young people who clearly understand the importance of celebrating all minds.

“Not everyone learns the same way – but that doesn’t mean they’re not clever.”“
There isn’t a ‘normal’ brain.”
“Differences are good.”

These simple yet profound reflections from pupils serve as a heartfelt reminder of how inclusive environments shape understanding—and nurture acceptance from an early age.

💬 Why it matters

At NEST, we believe awareness and empathy start with honest conversations and representation. Displays like this are more than decoration—they're an open invitation to recognise and honour the strengths of neurodivergent learners in every classroom.

🤝 A big thank you

Thank you to the staff, families, and especially the pupils at Mount Carmel for putting neurodiversity at the heart of your school values. Your artwork, words, and warmth made a big impression—and reminded us all that celebration is a powerful form of advocacy.

We were proud to share NEST resources at Parent’s Night and to meet so many families curious to learn more about neurodevelopmental differences.
