Neurodiversity Celebration Week is always a special time for us at NEST, and this year has been no different.
Over the past seven days, we’ve shared stories, voices and experiences from across Ayrshire’s neurodivergent community.
Each one has helped shine a light on the strengths, creativity and resilience that make our community so unique.
As the week draws to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part.
💙 Thank You to Our Story‑Sharers
A huge thank you to the amazing neurodivergent individuals and their families who kindly shared their experiences with us this week.
Thank you to Karen, Claire, Duncan & Sophie
Your stories help others feel seen and understood.
They remind families, professionals and communities that neurodiversity is something to value, celebrate and support.
We also want to acknowledge the families, carers and supporters who shared their perspectives.
Your insight helps others navigate their own journeys with hope and confidence.

💜 Celebrating Local Services
Every day this week we highlighted a different Ayrshire‑based service supporting neurodivergent people across the region.
These organisations make a meaningful difference in people’s lives - whether through emotional support, practical guidance, community connection or specialist knowledge.
We’re deeply grateful for everything they do.
Thank you to the services we highlighted this week, you can fidn their full service spotlights below:
💚 Now It’s Your Turn: Who Should We Spotlight Next?
For our final spotlight of the week, we want to hand things over to you.
We know there are many brilliant services, groups and organisations - large and small - doing incredible work across Ayrshire.
So we’d love to hear from you:
👉 Which Ayrshire‑based neurodiversity‑supporting services do you want to highlight?
👉 Tag them in the comments or send them our way so we can keep celebrating local support.
Whether it’s a community group, a third‑sector charity, a youth service or a team within health or education - we want to shine a light on them.
🌈 Looking Ahead
Neurodiversity Celebration Week may be ending, but our commitment to empowering neurodivergent people continues every day of the year.
Thank you for being part of this week.
Thank you for sharing, reading, reflecting, connecting and uplifting our community.
Together, we can keep building a more inclusive and understanding Ayrshire - one story, one voice and one small act of kindness at a time 💚💜💙
