🌟 Powering Inclusion at EDF Hunterston Power Station 🌟

On 18th March 2025, Alison from NEST Ayrshire had the incredible opportunity to visit EDF Hunterston Power Station — a visit filled with meaningful conversations, shared insights, and a shared commitment to building more inclusive workplaces.

We were warmly welcomed by Natalie Ness and the inspiring team of Conscious Inclusion Champions, whose dedication to fostering a neuroinclusive environment truly stood out. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this wasn’t just a workplace — it was a community actively working to empower every mind.

💬 Why It Matters: Neurodiversity is a strength, and when organisations like EDF take conscious steps to embrace it, they unlock innovation, empathy, and resilience. Our visit was a chance to highlight the importance of inclusive practices, share strategies, and celebrate the progress already being made at Hunterston.

A Shared Vision: Together, we explored how small changes in communication, environment, and culture can make a big difference for neurodivergent individuals. The enthusiasm and openness of the Hunterston team were truly energising — a reminder that inclusion is not just a goal, but a journey we take together.

💡 Looking Ahead: As we continue to champion neuro-inclusion across Ayrshire and beyond, partnerships like this one are vital. They show what’s possible when organisations commit to conscious inclusion — not just in policy, but in practice.

🌈 Together, we’re powering positive change.
