🗣️ May’s Communication Top Tip: Bubbles! 🫧

Sometimes, the simplest activities can have the biggest impact — and blowing bubbles is a perfect example!

This month’s communication tip, shared by our brilliant Speech & Language team, highlights how a fun, everyday activity can support your child’s early language development.

Whether you're in the garden, at the park, or indoors on a rainy day, bubbles offer a golden opportunity to build communication skills in a natural, joyful way.

💬 How to Use Bubbles for Language Learning:

As you play, try modelling simple, repetitive words like:

  • “Bubbles”

  • “More”

  • “Again”

  • “Pop!”

Repeating these words while pointing, pausing, and waiting for your child to respond — even with a look or gesture — helps build their confidence and understanding of language. It’s all about creating moments of connection and communication through play.

💙 Thank You to Our Speech & Language Team: We’re so grateful for this playful and practical idea. It’s a reminder that communication development doesn’t need to be complicated — it just needs to be intentional, responsive, and fun.

🫧 So grab your bubble wand and get popping — one word at a time!
