A Free Pre-Recorded Workshop
Mealtimes can be one of the most challenging parts of the day — especially when a child or young person eats only a very limited range of foods. If you’re supporting someone who’s highly selective with what they eat, avoids certain textures or colours, or struggles with anxiety around food, you’re not alone
We know this is something many families experience, particularly those with neurodivergent children.
That’s why we’ve created a free, pre-recorded workshop all about Selective, Restrictive and Limited Eating — so you can watch at a time that works for you, in a way that suits your schedule.
💬 What does this workshop cover?
This session explores:
What selective and restrictive eating really is — and why it’s not just “fussy eating”
Why these eating patterns develop (especially in neurodivergent children)
Practical strategies that avoid pressure, conflict, or shame
How to build confidence around food in small, manageable steps
When it might be time to seek more help or professional advice
Whether you're a parent, carer, teacher or health professional, this workshop is designed to help you feel more confident, compassionate and informed.
📘 Includes a Companion Workbook
To help you get the most out of the workshop, we’ve created a free printable workbook packed with useful prompts, tools and reflection spaces.
Inside, you’ll find:
A food mapping activity to explore what your child can, tolerates, and can’t eat
Helpful “dos and don’ts” when introducing new foods
Anxiety management tools, including calm breathing and body awareness
Self-care ideas for parents and carers
Questionnaires to help track your confidence before and after
Space to reflect on what’s going well and what you might try next
You can use it on your own, or share it with others involved in your child’s care. It’s designed to be supportive, practical, and easy to dip in and out of.
🧠 Who is it for?
This workshop is ideal for:
Parents and carers supporting a child with a limited or restrictive diet
Professionals working with neurodivergent young people
Anyone looking for a better understanding of eating differences
You don’t need a diagnosis to access this support — just a desire to understand and help.
