🌟 Neurodivergent People Make Incredible Friends

“They make the best kind of friend, are loyal, supportive and have more empathy than you can imagine—mainly due to how badly treated they have been by other children. Be kind and understanding, it doesn't take much.”

This comment reminds us that lived experience often fosters deep empathy and resilience. Kindness and understanding go a long way.

🕰️ Give Us Time

“Giving time to process things in shops, reading a list, information—and not be rude about it.”

Processing time is essential. Patience and respect can make everyday interactions more inclusive.

🧩 One Diagnosis, Many Experiences

“That all kids with the same diagnosis can be affected differently. Don't treat them all the same.”

Neurodivergence is not one-size-fits-all. Every individual is unique, even within the same diagnosis.

⏸️ Sometimes, We Just Need a Moment

“We just need a moment”

A pause, a breath, a little space—these small things can make a big difference.

🧠 Different, Not Broken

“Neurodivergence isn’t a flaw—it’s a different way of thinking, with its own strengths. Different doesn’t mean broken.”

This powerful truth reframes the conversation. Neurodivergence brings value, creativity, and new perspectives.

🧭 Accept Our Way of Thinking

“Accepting that we think differently.”

Acceptance is the foundation of inclusion. It starts with understanding that different doesn’t mean wrong.
