This morning, Alison had the pleasure of joining North Ayrshire’s amazing youth work staff and Modern Apprentices for a powerful session on neurodivergence—and what a brilliant morning it was!
Hosted as part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, the session focused on deepening understanding and building inclusive practices to better support neurodivergent young people.
Together, we explored the topic of neurodivergence—what it means, how it shows up in young people’s lives, and most importantly, how we can better support and include everyone in our communities.
From the moment we began, the energy in the room was full of curiosity, compassion, and a genuine commitment to learning.
We had some fantastic discussions around the diverse ways young minds work and how youth workers can create environments where all young people feel seen, heard, and valued.
Alison shared insights, practical strategies, and sparked some truly meaningful conversations with a team clearly passionate about making a difference.
It’s always encouraging to see such dedication to inclusion and equity in youth services.
Days like today remind us that when we come together with open minds and hearts, we can make a real difference.
Thank you again to everyone who took part—and here’s to continuing the journey of understanding and celebrating neurodiversity! 👏😀
